Scripture: John 10:30
“I and the Father are one.”

Observation:
--This verse is pretty straightforward: Jesus and God are one.
--What do you think it means to be one with somebody? Think about your best friend, how did you get to be best friends?
You have to spend time together! You have to get to know the other person’s likes, dislikes, habits and ways.
The New Testament has many verses that tell about Jesus going off by himself to talk with God…Jesus made time for God!

Application:
--Just like Jesus and God were one, we need to be one with God.
--Do you make time to spend with God like Jesus did?
If you don’t, why not? What is holding you back from being best friends with God, the creator of everything? (You can’t get a cooler best friend than that!)

Prayer:
It’s impossible for us to be one with God if we aren’t spending time with him. Set aside time every day to spend with God, whether it’s reading your Bible, praying about something specific, or just telling him how your day went.

How often do you talk to God? When you eat? When you go to bed? What about when you wake up, or when you have nothing to do? It sometimes seems like a nusance, when you are expected to talk to God a lot. I forget a lot, especially when I am having some personal issues, that God is always there for me, no matter where I am. But just think, if your best freind were always there, you would probobly be talking nonstop. But even though the creator of the universe, your heavenly father, is always there, people usually don't talk to him. When you just feel like venting out on a bad day, talk to God. After all, he can help you out more than anyone here on Earth can.

this kinda has to do with the lesson;

If we don't go to church sometimes, are we separating ourselves from God?

This ones kinda along the church line but not along the lesson...

If we were a member to one church but we decide to go to another... for example: i go to my regular church for worship but come to small groups earlier at your church..) Is this wrong?
